So it's been awhile...

So I am back from the dead and have decided to do another blog entry. Blogging, like writing in my journal is hard to do even though I do enjoy it. (Although I have been better with my journal)

Anyways I have done a lot in the past few months. In April I got to go out to Ohio and Kentucky and see some old friends. It was nice to see my friends again. I did live in Ohio for four years and I made some good friends while I was there. But since I am so far away now, it is hard to see them! So I figured I better get out there before they all move away! Some people I will probably never see again. I guess that is life for you. Every one goes their own ways. Some you keep in contact with and others you don't. And as the years go by your friends

On another note a couple of weeks ago my sister Janine and I and two of my friends from Lethbridge with to New York City. I at the time had never been so I thought why not? My brother Bryan had just gotten back and I thought I wanted to go too. So I got 4 people together and we bought plane tickets, booked a hotel and the rest was history. I am so glad I went. We had an amazing time. I especially wanted Janine to come because Janine hasn't really been anywhere. The farthest she had been was Arizona and she had never been on a commercial plane before. So she had a lot of first on the trip. Her first plane ride, her first subway ride, her first taxi ride and many others. She now can't say she hasn't been anywhere.

Janine and I took a day trip to Philadelphia while we were there because I have always wanted to go there as well and since it was so close I thought we might as well. I also met up with one of my good friends Erin from BYU in Philadelphia. She came up from D.C and we met halfway. Philadelphia is pretty colonial. Lot's of American history there for sure. On the way to Philadelphia we took a little detour to Wilmington Delaware. Why you ask? Because one thing I would like to do is to go to all 50 states. And if you look where Delaware is situated is it kind of off by itself. Since I had already been to all the states surrounding it I figured since I was so close I might of well make the effort and go just to say I have been to Delaware. (It is a 20min train from Philly.) Janine thought I was a little crazy, which I have to agree with her. We didn't do much there, we got to the train station walked down by the river and pretty much went back to the train station and that concluded our Delaware tour. Was it worth the money? Absolutely. I probably won't ever go there again although I am sure it is a nice place.

Back in New York we had a blast. There was so much to do there. We did a lot of the touristy things: Statue of Liberty, Chinatown, Little Italy, Times Square, Central Park, the MET, Rockefellar Center, the Guggenheim, and much more. We did so much walking our feet just ached and ached. But it was worth it. We went to two Broadway shows; The Lion King and Billy Elliot. I just loved my time there. The aura of the city was just so fun. I definitely want to go back.
